20th Anniversary of 911
While remembering 911, many friends from across all nations create a Japanese paper crane using the art of origami. The paper crane is a symbol of healing and hope. Paper crane displays are also currently being used to remember those lost to covid as well. Below is a few pictures of the memorial, some of the paper cranes , and a video to show you how to make your own paper crane. Your parents and grandparents can tell you their stories of where they were when the towers fell in NY 20 years ago.
Before 911 there stood these 2 very tall buildings called the twin towers. People worked there. When the attack happened the twin towers fell down. Thousands of people died that day. Those that watched it were very very scared and sad. We Remember the towers and the people each year on September 11th. They even shine these 2 giant beams of light into the sky as a dedication to all of those affected. You can talk to your parents and grandparents about what they remember from that day.
Here are some other craft ideas to inspire you about 911 remembrance.
